God I Thank You. Thursday - December 25, 2008

Filed under: Dailies — xrynx @ 3:28 am

True prayer is not to be found in the words of the mouth, but in the thoughts of the heart. – Gregory The Great.

Dear Lord,

This morning I was woken up from my nightmares by my little sister.

When I came back from London my grandmother’s leg had healed so that she could walk without her cane. She even came out for Christmas eve dinner with us last night.

I only got one physical present for Christmas this year, but it was something I’ve always needed, and I really love it. My parents got it for me.

Despite being sick the entire holiday, I managed to study a fair amount.

My family loves the presents I got them from London, although it’s never revealed who ‘Santa’ is in this house.

My internet recovered just in time for me to send out Christmas greetings.

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday, even the little challenges in Beijing (like eating cockroaches and sheep penises and the -13 temperatures).

I finally found a pair of roller blades, and my little sister promised to try to teach me to use them.

I managed to find presents for everybody.

My family and friends are happy and well.

The sun is beautiful today, the birds are beautiful, the colour of the grass seems greener.

As my friend Xin Yi would have said, by God’s grace, it shall be done.

Thank You Lord for all the little things that make our lives so special and so worth living.

Thank You for Your Sacrifice.

I Love You.

Merry Christmas.

Merry Xmas to one and all =) Wednesday - December 24, 2008

Filed under: Dailies — xrynx @ 5:01 pm

Dear All,

This editor just got back her internet connection in her house several hours ago. She apologizes for the lack of updates, which is really sad because she went on some super shopping and eating spree in beijing =) But she’s really lazy to post now, because a different Spirit is in the air…

Do you know why Xmas is about the spirit of giving? It’s not just commercialism…

It’s because Christmas is about celebrating the greatest gift man was given…

It’s because of the greatest gift given to all the people of the world and all the children of God…

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. –  [John 3:16]

There’s a lot of things I want to change this year… and I’m going to try my very best.

I made a deal with God, and I put the world as my witness…

I pray I’ll find my answers. =)

Running in the background: “White Christmas – Il Divo”

ILoveYouForever,
ThEditor.

PS: Will post Xmas pressies tomo!!! =D

PPS: Just something I randomly came across =)

“She will bring a son to birth, and when she does, you, Joseph, will name him Jesus — “God saves” — because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 (MSG)

The term sin is tossed around so often that, for many people, it’s lost any significant meaning. They think of sin as a list of things they shouldn’t do. And, since everybody has their own list of sins, what may seem bad to me might not be such a bad behavior for you.

The problem with thinking of sin in this way is that I will look at my list and think, “If I just don’t do these things, then I’m not a sinful person.” And, you’ll look at your list, and think the same thing. And, we’ll both look at each other’s list and think, “His list is all wrong! A really good person would follow my list, not his!”

Get this: Sin is an attitude. It’s not something you do. It’s an attitude.

What’s the middle letter of sin? “I”

What’s the middle letter of pride? “I”

Sin is an “I” problem. Sin is saying, “I want to be my own boss. I don’t need God. I’m doing just fine, thank you very much.” Sin is saying, “God, I know what will make me happy more than you do. So I’m going to do what I want to do with my life, not what you put me on earth to do.” That’s sin.

The Bible says every one of us has had that attitude at some time or another. That attitude has caused us to be separated from God. That’s why, when you pray, you feel like your prayers bounce off the ceiling – because they do. There’s a separation between you and God. That’s why God sent Jesus as the Savior.

Every one of your problems is caused by sin – the separation from God. Sin causes confusion in your life. It causes guilt. It causes shame. It causes regret, bitterness, resentment, grudges, worry, fear, anxiety, depression, discouragement, emptiness, despair, and conflict between you and other people. Every one of your problems is the result of you not being connected to God. You are separated from God by your own sin.

The Bible says that Jesus came to save you from your sin, your “I’m going to do my own thing” past. No matter what you’ve done, Jesus can give you a clean slate. His ability to save you from your past is more powerful than anything you ever did in your past.

The name Jesus means “to save people from their sin.” He came to set you free from your sin.

Jesus wants to set you free from the burden of guilt. Did you know God doesn’t want you to carry guilt around? That’s why Jesus came – to pay for all your guilt so you can be forgiven.

Jesus wants to set you free from the pain of bitterness. When you hate other people, when you hold resentment of others in your heart, it’s like a cancer. It’s going to eat you alive.

Jesus wants to set you free from the expectations of other people, from your worry of, “What would other people think?”

Jesus wants to set you free from the fear of death, from the burden of worry, from anxiety and stress. God says, “I want to set you free from all that.”

Dear All,

There are TWO more things I’ve added to my to-do list before I go off to London again at the end of this year.

The first is to learn to roller-skate! =D

The second… is a secret <3

Hehehe I know it’s totally unfair, right? But I think some things are more fun for all concerned if they aren’t revealed til the very end.

but when I DO do it, I’ll photoblog it like crazy!! <3… provided, of course, it doesn’t make my hairdresser faint again.

YOUR chance to give to UNICEF this Xmas! Wednesday - December 3, 2008

Dear All,

I need your help, helping them. =)

UNICEF MALAYSIA

I’m taking donations over the next week for Unicef Malaysia, a program dedicated to helping the children of Malaysia, protecting their rights and ensuring their health and well-being. For more information, click the link above.

If you’d like to make a donation, please contact me via email (thelovebunnymail@yahoo.co.uk) or via this website or facebook, or call me or text me at     +447531723753    .

If you’d just like to make a small donation (ie <5 pounds) just let me know so I can meet up with you =) I’ll also be hanging around the Waterloo and Strand campuses (specifically in the Waterloo foyer and in the JJP room and Strand foyer) for most of the next three days.

If you’re interested in watching a show or if you’re charitable enough, a five pound donation will get u a ticket to see a Malaysian-student production with NO OTHER CHARGE at 7:30pm on the 9th  of Dec at Old Theatre, Old Building, LSE, Houghton Street.

Please don’t forget that it’s the season of giving =) I’m serious. I won’t rush you guys to donate, but it’s what’s in your heart that matters, and one pound = RM7, which can buy just about a full day’s meals per child back in Malaysia.

A description of the show is as follows:

“Gold Rain and Hailstones” is a play exploring themes of identity, place and belonging. It looks at the lives of four best friends who have journeyed to America for university and back home again. Touching and hilarious, it also makes subtle digs about the New Economic Policy and takes a look at modern Malaysian life. As our story opens, Amy (Jocelyn Yong), the last among her friends to return, discovers that the city streets she had once loved to roam, even places that had been warm and familiar, now feel strange and obscure. She must decide whether her quest for some form of acceptance is truly the right path, or if she has become the very thing she does not want to be.

I promise you that all proceeds go straight to UNICEF Malaysia.

Your donation counts! <3

People who decide to donate more than 5 pounds will get something extra from me too =P

The power of three (to five) words Tuesday - December 2, 2008

Filed under: Dailies — xrynx @ 5:52 pm

Dear All,

Frankly, this is going to be my least emo post for a while, simply because I’m so sick of beating myself up (people who’ve read my blog since ages ago will start experiencing some sort of deja vu about now XD) but healing is a stuttering process, kaY?! And i’m doing far better than I would expect (albeit of others) so i’m forgiven =D

it’s not about being emo, but there really are a whole host of three-to-five word sentences that can either make your day or put you off or change the way you see things, situations and relationships. The power of words is, you just can’t take it back, you can’t forget it, and once it makes an impact it becomes a part of you you will never let go. =) Just ffs, i’m going to list as many as I can think of down (starting with the most obvious and the one everyone’s expecting to see XD), and I’m going to number them just to see how far I get =P. Submissions welcome XD Here we gooo~

  1. I love you.
  2. I hate you.
  3. Not just yet.
  4. Will you marry me?
  5. Let me think.
  6. I’m afraid not.
  7. I think so.
  8. It’ll be a good day.
  9. … but I like/love her/him.
  10. I like you.
  11. Leave me alone.
  12. You shouldn’t have.
  13. I appreciate it.
  14. I miss you.
  15. I’m thinking of you..
  16. Please, allow me.
  17. How could you?(!)
  18. I don’t care.
  19. Let’s be friends.
  20. Let’s just be friends.
  21. Love you too.
  22. Don’t make me worry.
  23. Let me help you.
  24. You can tell me.
  25. I trust you.
  26. You’re not like them.
  27. I prefer/choose you.
  28. I’ll take you out someday.
  29. I know you can.
  30. I’ll be there for you.
  31. I won’t disappoint you.
  32. Are you sure?
  33. Thanks, goodbye.
  34. Please shut up.
  35. I don’t like it.
  36. I think she/he’s cute.
  37. Call me anytime.
  38. Hold my hand.
  39. Touch my face.
  40. Do you want to?
  41. Do you mind?
  42. It’ll be alright.
  43. Pray for us.
  44. I’ll always be with you.
  45. I’ll be waiting for you.
  46. I want to see you.
  47. Please don’t touch me.
  48. I need you.
  49. I want you.
  50. Thank you so much…

Dinner time now, so I’m going to stop. I may or may not finish this later depending on my mood XD

so those of you who think you know me well enough to earn an Xmas present from me are sooo lucky this year; and those of you who don’t expect anything may turn out lucky too!!  ;) but I may not be able to bring back as many pressies from London to home as I expected… I haven’t started working yet, so it’s not my own cash, but I’m savingggg k? XD

Dear All,

It’s only the 1st of December and the spirit of Xmas is already in the air XD and I have no clue why, I’ve been feeling extra-giving this year =)

To start things off, I’ve resolved to go to this event:

10 pounds plus fun, a Santa and elves and a movie!!! Now all I need to do is find company =P

Won’t you all join me? ^^

Another event I WOULD have gone to if I had the money is the Child’s Play Charity Dinner. Viva Penny-Arcade et Child’s Play!!!

Those with time and/or money to do so should donate to Child’s play if possible =) Visit website for more details.

If you’re not the kind who likes to give something for nothing and would like some sort of ‘return’, go instead to Desert Bus for Hope. It works even better if you enjoy satire. Every penny/pence counts =9 and you get to watch these people torture themselves for it too..

And for those of you who were linked here by Facebook/Messenger/WordOfMouth (or if, blessed be, you’re one of my regular blog-readers) the following is specially for you =)

Every year the number of presents I get for people depend so bad on how much I get to save throughout the year. Sometimes I save enough money for you guys but not for myself =( and it’s a real pain in the &”^$% to have to pick and choose who gets presents from me every year. This year it’s been even harder to save, living in London and all, so I’ve decided to try something different. (don’t worry, some of you still have tangible presents coming your way XD)

I’m making three sets of Xmas greetings/prints/posters/whatchamacallits to be ready to be emailed to you on Xmas day. All prints are digital, A4 size and have the following in them: A rabbit, an Xmas theme, and my signature =D which you can sell when I’m a famous judge/lawyer HAHAHA. If you know me personally and you leave me your home address I will mail the print to you laminated, but not framed. Which print you get depends on which of the following you do:

1) Leave a comment on this post, either in WordPress as it originally appears or on Facebook as an imported note with your email and name, and a PROMISE that you will give someTHING to someONE this Xmas. The further this person’s relation from you, the better. =) And i will TRUST in the spirit of Xmas that YOU’RE NOT LYING. Print theme: Chibi manga-style

2) If you’d like to be annonymous about you giving something to someone, email me about it instead. =) Yes, this will net you a different print from the one in (1). Also include your name as you’d like to appear on the card, and your email address that I can contact you by. my email = thelovebunnymail@yahoo.co.uk Print theme: A Mysterious Rabbit.

3) Answer the following question in ANY NUMBER OF WORDS FROM 10 TO 100: Why should lawyers celebrate Xmas? XD You can post your answer as a comment or email it to me. Print theme: ???

Print themes may change. I will NOT accept requests by text/sms, phone calls or personal request. you HAVE to do this online (because truth be told, I’ve a HORRIBLE memory); that way I have a record of what I owe and to whom. If you want me to put on the print that it’s dedicated to someone else, Say so in the email or comment post and write SPECIAL REQUEST – blablabla.

The deadline is 18th December, a week before Xmas.

Those who think they know me REALLY well and deserve something better, like a REALLY personalized print to suit you) Answer the next question via email:

Name me my favourite colour OR my favourite number OR my favourite sweet OR my favourite video game; email me a photo you REALLY like (i know it sounds totally random but do it =P) you can answer as many of those above as you like, and whichever you manage to answer correctly AND the photo you send will affect the print you are sent =) The photo can be of anything, and of any size as long as I can make out what it actually is -.- If you get ALL the answers you submitted wrong, you will still get a print; but I’ll tell you, it’s not going to be much; because you didn’t know me much at all, kind of thing. =x so I’ll put less effort in it. You have been warned.!!

If you are one of my regular blog readers, answer me this question: What show was I watching on television when my brother’s air-conditioning unit frizzed out and caused the entire house to blackout? hint: There’s a search bar for my blog on the right. =) This will bag you a print with the answer theme. Email and name as usual.

The deadlines for both of the above are 12th Dec. (i need more time for the personalized ones ^^)

Please also leave your name and email in your answers.

DISCLAIMER: Please don’t expect too much; I’m not doing this because I think my art is THAT good; I just want to get a little something for everybody this year. =) I will do my best to get as many as I can out on Xmas day itself but you should definitely receive them within the next few days. if you’re one of those who requested a laminated print and can’t collect from me personally, I will mail it to you; how long the mail takes to get to you, I have no idea. ^^ No, I won’t charge for the mail, unless you live somewhere ridiculously far away.

Those of you to whom I’ve already promised a present this Xmas MAY get a print even if you don’t do this (if a print was what I had in mind to give you initially anyway XD)  but there’s nothing stopping you from submitting an entry =)

Please bear in mind that I’m leaving Malaysia and flying back to London on New Year’s Eve!!!

For examples of my art style please visit my art blog. I know there are very few there but those are the only ones I’ve done since I started my art blog site and uploading my images so my art is pretty consistent. =)

Have a super merry Xmas season everybody \(^o^)>
