MERDEKA, baby. MWAHS. Friday - August 31, 2007

Dear All,

Today… As I’m sure you all know, The Editor is only human. In fact maybe not only human, but a hyper, emo, out and about, sit down and study, student kind of girl. And as such, she’s taking a break from today’s post seeing how all she did was spend the entire day with her boyfriends, fiancee and hubby dearest, at the same time. Woohoo!!

On a lighter note, I saw this on a button in my friend’s display pic.

Damn right I’m good in bed!.. I can sleep all day.

Other than that, thankslots to Yong Jin and Maxie for inviting me out. I got some calls from old friends over the last few days. Guess I’ve been really out of touch >.<

Anywho. Loves to all my dearest readers. Got some ****ing to do.

Yours,
The Editor.

HAPPY MERDEKA!!!

mweh.
mweh. old photo. I miss my phone.

Dear All,

Firstly, I’d like to apologize from the heart of my bottom for my AWOL. Unfortunately, I’m still buried under my homework, I’ve no holidays coming up save for a one week holiday in the middle of my trials and my actual exams, and er… yeah. My exams are coming up. So.

Yesterday… I bought the ORIGINAL The Sims 2 Deluxe! I also bought Persona 3, but I haven’t had time to try it out yet. Go figure. I made this. I swear.

Today… We had our physics practical exam. It was an okay paper at first. But there were some shitty questions. The kind where you know the answer, but you don’t know how to put it down on paper so the examiner can tell that you know the answer. And we had chem in the lab. I made this myself. =) The bottom is erm. erm. Oh god i don’t remember anymore. XD. I also played around with some acids, some orange methyl and various organic compounds.. and I turned the methyl a brilliant, sweet, pastel violet colour. *sigh*.

I then attended a dance meeting. Then I came home. And decided not to follow my family out for the Putrajaya fireworks. I know it’s merdeka and all, but I decided to stay home and keep my grandma and cousin company. Plus, I saw Japan the other night, so I don’t feel like I missed out on EVERYTHING. It’s now 20 minutes to midnight. And then exactly 50 years ago people would have been tossing and turning in their beds, waiting out that morning like no other morning they would ever have known…

I wore a red miniskirt with a white shirt, blue earrings and a gold headband to college today. I wanted to pin on a malaysia flag. But i couldn’t find a nice one. Been looking the past week. I think I just haven’t been looking in the right places.

Tomorrow… Is Merdeka Day. I plan to spend my ONE holiday partying. I love you Malaysia. God bless. And (hopefully) I’m getting my Nokia back from the shop.

Daily…

  • Consumable-ds: A packet of chocolate Rocky; A soft boiled egg; A cup of milo; two cans of chocolate drink; a slice of chocolate cake; my grandma’s dinner; a plate of oranges.
  • Procrastinate-ds: my further maths homework; my furhter maths tutorial; studying.
  • Carrocolada: A nice surprise. <3
  • What’s on the cake: The Sims 2!; Riviera PSP; Harvest Moon Boy & Girl; Persona 3

Love to Malaysia,
The Editor.

Praise to Dr Mahathir Tuesday - August 21, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — xrynx @ 9:39 pm

shhh

hush, baby, hush.

Dear All

Seriously. with all due respect to our current Prime Minister, anyone who DARES to say that Dr Mahathir wasted taxpayers’ money by building Putrajaya and Cyberjaya, obviously hasn’t even BEEN there yet, or is just too *katak kat bawah tempurung* to appreciate what he’s done for us.

Today… I followed Ms Fiona to the Palace of Justice to observe a court case. But before I even GO there, I’m going to take a moment to rant about some ridiculous remarks I read online about our ex-Prime Minister. The Palace of Justice, along with the other Government offices (YES I’ve been to them) in Putrajaya and Cyberjaya are a remarkable work of art. The design is amazing. The roads are cleaner than any other city I’ve ever seen. The 7 bridges are all of different shape and design (has anyone else noticed that?). Dr. Mahathir created something bigger than another Klang or Petaling Jaya. The boat rides + dinner at night are beautiful. I don’t care what you people say about it. Dr Mahathir is a genius and a fine example of a true Malaysian.

Okay. So at the Palace of Justice, I sat in the Appeals Court. Guess who the judge I was observing was? GOPAL SRI RAM. OhMyGosh. It was a horrifying, enlightening experience. I can’t explain. You’d have to have been there to understand the way I was feeling at the time. Looks like if I’m ever going to be as respected or intelligent a lawyer, it’s going to take tons upon tons of hard work and enthusiasm. Luckily for me, the latter comes easily.

After that I went home and well. I’m taking most of today to try to read ahead, so that I wouldn’t have missed much in class.

In unrelated news… I have to sign up for the SAT and LNAT pretty darn soon. And I want to dance. Boo.

Tomorrow… I want mommy to come home earlier. sniffle.

Daily…

  • Consumable-ds: the only thing notable was lots of cake.
  • Procrastinate-ds: LNAT/SAT, studying Statistics and Chemistry.
  • Carrocolada: Time!!
  • What’s on the cake: Riviera PSP

I love my bunny.

Yours lately,
The Editor.

This Just In… Not. Monday - August 20, 2007

me.

Dear All

I can explain my absence and lack of posts in 4 words I use ALL the time. MY INTERNET, SHE RETURNS!!

Yesterday… Well okay, not really YESTERday, but on Saturday I went to the Sunway Convention Centre with the SyUC dance club to watch an international latin/ballroom dancing competition. All I can say is, I’m stunned and I’ve found a post-retirement hobby. I’d post pictures but there were no recording devices allowed in the hall :( I also ordered my dancing shoes at long last. My heels are wearing out and my sneakers are no good for practicing.

After the competition, I watched Ratatouille with my cousin. The show’s quite good. And it makes you hungry.

On Sunday…. Well not much happened on Sunday.Other than that I got a free makeover +professioal photoshoot session courtesy of BodyShop. I also have a RM35 rebate WOOHOO. And so my title picture for the next couple of posts will be photos of yours truly with makeup on. Yes, the background is my bathroom. I just felt more natural in front of my own camera. And I was about to wash the makeup off when i remembered that i almost NEVER put makeup on.

And so.

I did also drive from home to Sri KL to Pyramid to Carrefour and back home. =) With my dad in the front seat of course. And later on Sunday night I drove out to Putrajaya. It is SO scary on the road when no one else bothers to turn on signal lights, or decides to go really fast, or cuts lanes, and yet they honk their effing horns at you when you’re in their way. I’m finally beginning to understand why people make fun of our Malaysian drivers.

Sunday night mom made some kickass oxtail soup +radish, the leftovers of which I just had for dinner. She also cooked pork chops, broccoli, squid and all sorts of other stuff YUM.

Today… I MEANT to get some studying done. But I’m hooked on Riviera. Which means, that I’ve got to go get some work done right NOW.

Tomorrow… My little sister’s coming back from her three day camp thingie. I’m going to the Palace of Justice to observe another court case, and… I need to finish my schoolwork.

Daily…

  • Consumable-ds: Oxtail & radish soup; squid; broccoli; rice; chicken rice; half boiled egg;2 cups of milo; 2 bowls of AussieCherries; 2 spoonfuls of honey; a cup of apple yoghurt.
  • Procrastinate-ds: HOMEWORK!!!
  • Carrocolada: sweetheart </3
  • What’s On The Cake: Riviera PSP; HOMEWORK!!!

Yours (in a rather rushed state),

The Editor.

crazy nut.

The Editor. High. On chocolate.

Dear All,

If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Today… I GOT MY P LICENSE!! I mean as in physically. Now I can slap the sticker on my mom’s car and vroom away! That’s good. But now I’ve gotta drive other people around. That’s bad. But I’m getting an increase in allowance to pay for toll and gas. That’s good. Which means I gotta watch how often and how far I drive. That’s bad. But I get to go wherever whenever I want. That’s good. But I still have to tell my parents no matter what. That’s bad.

One more terror on the highways. Ha.

I also finally FINALLY managed to swipe the last two Simpson dolls from Burger King. Nelson and Dr Hibbert. Actually my cousin got em for me yesterday. So now I have three! :D starting today three more will be released.

Dr Hibbert

“Heh heh heh heh heh”

Nelson

“Ha ha! Ha ha! Ha ha!”

In unrelated news…

1. A rabbit fish.

Rabbit Fish

Which, by the way, gives me some ideas about my header…

2. Wrapping Presents with a Cat

1. Clear large space on table for wrapping present.

2. Go to closet and collect bag in which present is contained, and shut door.

3. Open door and remove cat from closet.

4. Go to cupboard and retrieve rolls of wrapping paper.

5. Go back and remove cat from cupboard.

6. Go to drawer, and collect transparent sticky tape, ribbons, scissors, labels, etc. . .

7. Lay out presents and wrapping materials on table, to enable wrapping strategy to be formed.

8. Go back to drawer to get string, remove cat that has been in the drawer since last visit and collect string.

9. Remove present from bag.

10. Remove cat from bag.

11. Open box to check present, remove cat from box, replace present.

12. Lay out paper to enable cutting to size.

13. Try and smooth out paper, realize cat is underneath and remove cat.

14. Cut the paper to size, keeping the cutting line straight.

15. Throw away first sheet as cat chased the scissors, and tore the paper.

16. Cut second sheet of paper to size – by putting cat in the bag the present came in.

17. Place present on paper.

18. Lift up edges of paper to seal in present. Wonder why edges don’t reach. Realize cat is between present and paper. Remove cat.

19. Place object on paper, to hold in place while tearing transparent sticky tape.

20. Spend 20 minutes carefully trying to remove transparent sticky tape from cat with pair of nail scissors.

21. Seal paper with sticky tape, making corners as neat as possible.

22. Look for roll of ribbon. Chase cat down hall in order to retrieve ribbon.

23. Try to wrap present with ribbon in a two-directional turn.

24. Re-roll ribbon and remove paper, which is now torn due to cat’s enthusiastic ribbon chase.

25. Repeat steps 17-24 until you reach last sheet of paper.

26. Decide to skip steps 17-21 in order to save time and reduce risk of losing last sheet of paper. Retrieve old cardboard box that is the right size for sheet of paper.

27. Put present in box, and tie down with string.

28. Remove string, open box and remove cat.

29. Put all packing materials in bag with present and head for locked room.

30. Once inside lockable room, lock door and start to relay out paper and materials.

31. Remove cat from box, unlock door, put cat outside door, close and relock.

32. Repeat previous step as often as is necessary (until you can hear cat from outside door)

33. Lay out last sheet of paper. (This will be difficult in the small area of the toilet, but do your best)

34. Discover cat has already torn paper. Unlock door go out and hunt through various cupboards, looking for sheet of last year’s paper. Remember that you haven’t got any left because cat helped with this last year as well.

35. Return to lockable room, lock door, and sit on toilet and try to make torn sheet of paper look presentable.

36. Seal box, wrap with paper and repair by very carefully sealing with sticky tape. Tie up with ribbon and decorate with bows to hide worst areas.

37. Label. Sit back and admire your handiwork, congratulate yourself on completing a difficult job.

38. Unlock door, and go to kitchen to make drink and feed cat.

39. Spend 15 minutes looking for cat until coming to obvious conclusion.

40. Unwrap present, untie box and remove cat.

41. Go to store and buy a gift bag.

We hope this advice was useful to you. =)

Tomorrow… I’m going with the dance club to see an international dance competition at Sunway Convention Centre. I only found out that the convention centre was in Pyramid a few hours ago. I’ve never been there, so. Hm. Maybe I’ll do some shopping while I’m there too. Maybe if mom’s okay with it, I’ll drive there <3 lalalala.

But after the fun…. *ominous music plays, thunder cracks in the distance*… It’s homework time.

Oh, and Ms Kala will be absent the coming Tuesday. I don’t know if I should be happy or sad that everytime I have to miss college, my teachers are absent too.

Daily…

  • Comsumable-ds: One half boiled egg, a cup of milo, a plate of hokkien mee, a can of justea, egg, chicken, rice and carrots, a packet of justea, two oranges and a spoonful of honey.
  • Procrastinate-ds: EDIT MY PERSONAL STATEMENT!; revise what I missed in Further Maths
  • Carrocolada: ANITA BLAKE
  • What’s on the Cake: Harvest Moon PSP; Summation of a Series (FM)

PS: I found out one of the reasons I’m so uber emo these days. I went to the doctor who blamed it on hormonal imbalance. I’m not producing enough happy-hormones. I blame it on a dependancy on chocolate, which i recently stopped eating to reduce weight gain. hmph. so much for a healthier diet. oh well. *grabs a chocolate Rocky stick*

PPS: I’m copyrighting my blog title. Something tells me it would make a pretty damn fine title for one of my softer, sweeter romance stories one of these days.

Yours Chocolately,
The Editor.

 Cloud Rabbit

I see a rabbit. facing the other way.

Dear All

I just got back from DUO night. Heh. Not feelin too lucky.

Today… We tested for ketones, aldehydes, alcohol and carb. acids in the lab in chem. One of my more successful experiments, lol. Then Ms Kala brought in some alcohols and c. acids, and we made esters!! Haha the lab was so stinko after that. Ms Kala’s exact words were that she was slowly being poisoned. XD

OMGG DUO night was amazing. The performances rocked, and the lucky draw prizes included pen drives, a printer, CD players, an MP3 player, a TV.. and best of all, FIVE EFFING 3G PHONES SPONSORED BY CELCOM OMGGGGG. But i didn’t win any. blah. Then mom came so i didnt have time for dance.

On a lighter note.

In unrelated news… I still don’t get why no matter what I do, there’s no pleasing people, especially the ones who matter the most. But I keep trying. It’s always been that way. Fall down, get up, fall down, get up. Wonder if one day I didn’t get up, would anyone miss me. omigosh I’m so upset my grammar’s all funky.

Tomorrow… I rest.

Lovin you all. *hic*

Yours gurfisbligy,
The Editor.
